Requirements

Role and Responsibilities We are currently looking for an Electrician (309A) to join our team. The successful candidate must demonstrate their ability to think creatively when faced with a challenge, and provide practical solutions to technical problems. You will be expected to liaise with customers, engineer, and vendors, to understand problems and provide solutions focused on continuous improvement.

A strong candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

- Install and maintain electrical systems including EMT, PVC and rigid conduit, cable tray, instrumentation and controls wiring, new service installations, lighting installations, and more;
- Perform preventative maintenance checks/repairs as directed by the client or management;
- Wire motors, beacon lights, photo-eyes, and other control devices;
- Read and interpret electrical schematics or prints;
- Build and wire electrical control panels;
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical system break downs including machine break downs and power issues;
- Ensure all installations meet local electrical code requirements;
- Self organized with the ability to work under minimal supervision;
- Plan and schedule projects;
- Estimate time and materials needed to complete projects;
- Maintain documentation relating to the completion of ongoing projects;
- Work with ESA inspectors;
- Maintain high level of customer satisfaction through direct contact and coordination of company resources.

Qualifications & Core Skills





- 2-5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).
- Must have experience in an electrical role including construction, panel building, or maintenance.
- Knowledge of automation systems, robotics, and PLC programming is an asset.
- Able to lift weight of up to 50lbs.
- Able to work in a warm/cold environment.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.

Education:

- 309A License required.

- $35.00-$45.00/hr depending on experience
