Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented English & Writing Tutor to support our students in developing their language skills. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with learners of various ages, including children, in a vibrant educational environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, classroom experience, and multilingual abilities to enhance the learning experience.

Responsibilities

- Teach students how to organize ideas and choose a structure suited to their writing purpose.
- Model effective introductions, body paragraphs, transitions, and conclusions.
- Strengthen grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and critical thinking.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to improve students’ clarity, reasoning, and individual writing voice.




- Prepare lessons and track student progress.

Qualifications

- Strong English language and writing skills.
- Ability to teach narrative, descriptive, expository, persuasive, and argumentative writing, as well as literary analysis.
- Experience teaching paragraph frameworks such as PEEL and TEEL, essay organization, thesis development, and effective use of evidence.
- Ability to guide students through planning, drafting, revising, and editing.
- Excellent communication skills with students and parents.
- Patient, reliable, and able to adapt instruction to different grade levels.
- Teaching or tutoring experience is an asset.
