Mining Excavator Operators - Syncrude MLX Project - 14/7 - Up to $41/hr - Fort McMurray, AB

Kichton Construction LP is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for their Syncrude MLX Project near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a great opportunity to work in a energetic oil sands mining environment with a reputable company. Operators will be responsible for a variety of excavation and material handling tasks, supporting construction and reclamation activities. The ideal candidates are safety-focused, skilled with large hydraulic excavators, and able to work rotating shifts in challenging outdoor conditions.

Perks & Benefits

- $37-$41 per hour based on experience
- Overtime after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week
- 9.6% vacation and stat holiday pay on all regular hours
- Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site

What You’ll Need

- Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators in mining, construction, or oil sands environments
- OSSA/BSO/CSO certification
- Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness or H2S Alive
- Silica Awareness
- OH&S; Legislation Awareness
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness
- Field Ergonomics
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- WHMIS
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Ability to read grade stakes, site plans, and excavation layouts
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and project schedules

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Experience operating large hydraulic excavators
- Experience with truck loading, bulk excavation, ditching, grading, and utility work
- Experience working in soft ground and around water
