ABOUT THE POSITION

Unique Cabinet Concepts is looking for a highly experienced, hands-on CNC Programmer / Edgebander Technician to join our cabinet manufacturing facility in Hamilton, Ontario.

This is a senior-level position for an experienced cabinet-maker who understands the entire cabinet manufacturing process and can confidently program and operate Biesse CNC machinery, run and maintain industrial edgebanders, troubleshoot equipment, and help lead the production floor.

This is NOT an entry-level CNC operator position. Extensive cabinet manufacturing experience is a must.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum 5 years of experience operating Biesse CNC machinery in a cabinet manufacturing shop.

· Strong working knowledge of BiesseWorks / bWorks software.

· Extensive hands-on cabinet-making experience.

· Ability to program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot Biesse CNC equipment.

· Ability to read and understand cabinet drawings, shop drawings, cut lists, and specifications.

· Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, hardware, machining, and production methods.

· Industrial edgebander experience, including setup and adjustment.

· Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.

· Ability to work independently and take ownership of production.

· Previous production leadership experience is strongly preferred.

CNC PROGRAMMING & OPERATION

· Program, set up, and operate Biesse CNC routers in a cabinet manufacturing setting.

· Run existing CNC programs and make adjustments when required.

· Use BiesseWorks / bWorks to create, edit, troubleshoot, and optimize programs.

· Understand CNC nesting, machining operations, tooling, and cabinet components.

· Identify machining issues and make the necessary corrections.





· Set and change tooling and perform routine CNC maintenance.

· Troubleshoot machine, vacuum, tooling, and machining problems.

· Maintain accuracy and production quality while keeping jobs moving efficiently.

EDGEBANDER EXPERIENCE The successful candidate must have practical experience operating and setting up industrial edgebanders.

· Set up and adjust trimming, scraping, buffing, and other edgebander units.

· Diagnose and correct quality issues such as inconsistent trimming, scraping, buffing, or edge finishing.

· Operate and maintain industrial edgebanding equipment.

· Experience with EVA and PUR glue systems is an asset.

· Ability to perform routine cleaning, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who knows cabinet manufacturing from the shop floor up.

The ideal candidate can look at a cabinet drawing, understand how the cabinet needs to be built, prepare or adjust the CNC program, run the job, operate the edgebander, identify production problems, and make the necessary corrections.

You should be comfortable working hands-on while also taking responsibility for production flow and helping lead the shop team.

EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· 5+ years operating Biesse CNC equipment in a cabinet manufacturing environment.

· Extensive cabinet-making and cabinet manufacturing experience.





· BiesseWorks / bWorks programming experience.

· Industrial edgebander setup and operating experience.

· CNC troubleshooting and machine maintenance experience.

· Experience with nesting and sheet optimization.

· Experience reading cabinet drawings and production documentation.

· Shop foreman, lead hand, or production supervision experience is an asset.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

This position is not intended for a general CNC operator with limited cabinet experience. Candidates must have substantial experience specifically in cabinet manufacturing and at least 5 years of hands-on Biesse CNC operating experience.
