We're a small custom joinery shop building kitchens, vanities, built-ins, furniture and millwork for clients who care about good design and good craftsmanship.
We're looking for an experienced joiner/cabinetmaker who knows how to think, not just follow instructions.
This isn't a production-line cabinet shop.
Every project is different. Drawings don't always tell the whole story. Materials vary,
hardware matters, and installation can change things.
We need someone who enjoys figuring things out.
We're looking for someone who:
- Can take ownership from drawings through fabrication, assembly and installation
- Can look at a drawing and visualize what needs to be built
- Understand how materials, joinery, hardware and construction methods affect the finished piece
- Has strong machinery and hand-tool skills
- Notices problems before they become problems
- Can work independently and make good decisions
- Takes pride in accuracy, fit, reveals, alignment and the small details
- Can troubleshoot without needing to be told what to do next
- Cares about the finished installation—not just getting the piece out of the shop
Experience in custom cabinetry, furniture, architectural millwork, renovations or smaller custom shops is an asset.
We're also interested in people who have spent years building things themselves. Red Seal is an asset. Practical ability, judgment and experience matter more. You'll be involved in the full process:
- Read and interpret shop drawings
- Plan fabrication and construction
- Machine, build and assemble
- Install hardware and specialty fittings
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Perform quality control
- Prepare for delivery
- Install and adjust on site
Flexible schedules We're open to full time, part-time and flexible arrangements.
If you're a firefighter, shift worker, contractor, renovator, furniture maker, self-
employed trades person, semi-retired cabinetmaker or experienced weekend woodworker, we'd still like to hear from you.

We're more interested in finding the right person than forcing everyone into the same schedule.
