Nortek Contracting is looking for an experienced Pipelayer to join our civil construction team. The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-focused and comfortable working alongside heavy equipment to install underground utilities accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Install storm, sanitary and water mains and services to specified grades

Read construction plans and establish grades using laser levels

Prepare, grade and compact trench bases

Properly bed, align and connect pipe and related materials

Identify existing utilities and immediately report installation conflicts

Assist with utility repairs, excavation and general site duties as required

Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures

Qualifications

Previous pipelaying or civil underground utility experience required

Strong knowledge of grades, pipe installation and construction plans





Experience using laser levels, compactors and hand tools

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation

Ground Disturbance, CSTS and Confined Space certifications are preferred

Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work

Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
