Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Portuguese Bread Baker/Mixer to join our vibrant bakery team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Portuguese bread and baked goods, ensuring each product meets our high standards of quality, flavor, and presentation. Your expertise in bread mixing, dough handling, and baking techniques will help deliver an exceptional experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and mix dough for various Portuguese bread varieties using traditional recipes and modern techniques.
- Shape, proof, and bake bread to achieve optimal texture, crust, and flavor.
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistent quality across batches.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as ingredient measurement, portioning, and packaging of baked goods.
- Support the team in decorating cakes or pastries when needed,



utilizing cake decorating skills for special orders.
- Follow all food handling and safety protocols diligently to ensure a hygienic workplace for both staff and customers.

Experience

- Proven experience as a baker specializing in Portuguese bread or similar baked goods.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques, and dough handling processes.
- Experience in a restaurant or bakery setting with familiarity in food safety practices.
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and packaging machines efficiently.
- Skills in cake decorating and pastry presentation are a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with clients when necessary.
- Prior kitchen experience within the food industry is highly valued for this role.
