Job Summary

We are a Potato Farm in Northern Ontario seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to oversee our packaging operations as well as supervise a small team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of packaging associates, ensuring that products are packaged efficiently and meet quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.

Education

- No degree, certificate or diploma required

Experience

- 2-3 years supervising 5-10 employees

Responsibilities

- Organize tasks to accomplish the work
- Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
- Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
- Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
- Maintain quality control and production records
- Maintain work records and logs
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Perform general farm duties
- Motivate staff
- Check products for quality control




- Food safety/handling skills
- Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
- Clean work area
- Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.
- Pack fruits and vegetables
- Hire, train and supervise staff
- Perform general labouring duties
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures

Work Hours:

- Monday - Friday : 7:30am to 4pm

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
