Position Overview

Ricks Oilfield Hauling is growing and is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to oversee and coordinate field operations across various job sites.

This position plays a key role in supporting drivers, monitoring equipment performance, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance, and ensuring operations run safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be a strong, hands-on leader with excellent organizational skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

This is a working supervisory position. The successful candidate must be prepared to operate trucks when required due to workload, staffing needs, or operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide on-site leadership and oversight of field operations and driver activities.
- Ensure job sites operate in compliance with company policies, safety procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor driver performance and ensure compliance with Hours of Service requirements and company standards.
- Conduct regular driver, equipment, and site audits to maintain operational and safety compliance.
- Attend new job sites, project start-ups, and other critical operations.
- Assist with driver scheduling and work closely with Dispatch to maintain efficient coverage and operational flow.
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Operations, Shop, and Safety departments to improve communication, logistics, and efficiency.




- Respond to transportation-related issues, incidents, and emergencies promptly and professionally.
- Facilitate and lead safety meetings, tailgate talks, and job hazard assessments.
- Attend client and customer meetings as required to support operations and maintain strong working relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete reports relating to field activities, audits, incidents, and performance.
- Monitor truck and tanker trailer condition and communicate repair or maintenance concerns.
- Operate various commercial trucks as required based on workload, staffing needs, or the direction of Operations Management or Dispatch.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.
- Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s Licence with relevant commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of oilfield transportation operations and applicable safety requirements.
- Experience hauling and handling various oilfield products.
- Mechanically inclined, with practical knowledge of commercial trucks and tanker trailers.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making,



and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company operations, customers, employees, pricing, and other sensitive business information.
- Acceptable driver’s abstract and ability to meet company insurance requirements.

Mandatory Certifications Applicants must possess current certifications in the following:

- H2S Alive
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- First Aid CPR C

Work Conditions

- This is a field-based position with no fixed daily work location.
- Regular travel to various job sites is required.
- The successful candidate must be available to work away from home when operationally required.
- Flexible availability is required and may include evenings, weekends, extended hours, and emergency call-outs.
- The position involves working outdoors and around commercial trucks, tanker trailers, oilfield facilities, and active job sites.

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
