JOB SUMMARY

This role is a Finance Business Partner role specialized in automating and improving Finance processes, reporting and data capabilities. The role will identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve data quality and strengthen financial and operational reporting through automation, Power BI and other technology solutions.

The role will partner with Finance, Operations and IT to understand business requirements, map existing processes, develop practical reporting and automation solutions, and support their implementation and adoption with business users.

Success requires a combination of finance knowledge, analytical capability, high technology skills, business partnership and a continuous-improvement mindset with the ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable solutions and help users adapt to current technology.





DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Transformation & Process Improvement

- Map and assess Finance and related business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, controls and automation.
- Lead assigned automation and process improvement initiatives using Excel, Power BI, ERP and AI capabilities.
- Assess and prioritize automation and reporting opportunities based on business impact, effort, risk and data availability, in consultation with the Director of Finance.
- Document processes, workflows and controls and develop user guides and supporting documentation.

Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models for financial and operational reporting.
- Establish and maintain consistent financial and operational reporting definitions, data sources and calculation methodologies to support reliable and consistent reporting across the organization.
- Automate data refreshes and reduce reliance on manual Excel-based reporting.
- Implement appropriate data validation and quality checks to support accurate and reliable reporting.
- Translate business questions and reporting requirements into meaningful metrics, analysis, dashboards and visualizations.

Financial & Operational Analysis
- Analyze financial and operational information to identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities.
- On an interim basis covering for another team member’s leave, provide support for recurring financial processes, including quarterly rebate calculations, reconciliations, and related documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate recurring analysis and reporting processes.
- Provide reporting and analytical support to Finance and business stakeholders as required.

Collaboration & Implementation
- Partner with Finance, Operations and IT to understand requirements and implement practical solutions.
- Work with IT on data, system and technical requirements while maintaining Finance ownership of financial reporting requirements, definitions and controls.




- Provide training and support to Finance and business users to promote adoption of new reporting tools, processes and automated solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS · Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related area of study.

· 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, process improvement, automation or a related discipline.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

· Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros) with experience building Power BI data models and reports independently.

· Hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including extracting data, building reports and supporting process improvements.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex data and processes to non-finance stakeholders.

· Solid organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

· Proactive and adaptable actioning continuous improvements with a track record of driving automation and process improvements.
