The TNFC provides services to supportthe cultural heritage of Indigenous peoples through intervention, prevention, directservices, advocacy, and support in the areas of health, education, employmentand training, culture, recreation, and social services.

Responsibilities/

Oversee all financial operations,accounting, payroll, and financial reporting

Lead the development, monitoring, andanalysis of annual budgets and forecasts

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annualfinancial statements and reports

Monitor cash flow and ensure effectivefinancial planning and controls

Manage the general ledger, ensuringaccuracy and integrity of financial records

Oversee accounts payable and receivablesprocesses, including reconciliation

Lead year-end processes, including auditpreparation and coordination with external auditors

Ensure compliance with regulatoryrequirements and manage all government remittances

Oversee the administration of employeebenefits and related financial programs

Supervise and support finance andpayroll staff, providing guidance and oversight

Identify and implement processimprovements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Maintain financial policies, internalcontrols, and reporting systems

Provide financial analysis and insightto support leadership decision-making

Qualifications

Designation inFinance,



or related field, industry courses relevant to Accounting or Finance -CPA or CAFM is preferred

3+ years ofprogressive accounting and financial management/accounting sector experience

Proven experienceoverseeing full-cycle accounting and payroll functions

Strong knowledgeof financial reporting, internal controls and compliance requirements

Computer competency and knowledge of office machinery

Abilityto manage, guide and lead finance employees to ensure appropriatefinancial processes are being used

Proficiencywith accounting systems (Sage 50 preferred) and advanced Excel skills

Experiencedwith payroll systems and government remittance

Ability to speak Cree and/or Ojibway is an asset.

Experienceworking in a non-profit organization and knowledge of the Friendship Centre movement,its aims and objectives

Abilityto provide a explicit Criminal Reference Check and Vulnerable Persons Check.

Possessa class G Driver's License and clear Driver's Abstract The successfulcandidate will be expected to work 35 hours per week, including evenings orweekends as needed. The time of work hours will meet the demands of theposition, the needs of, and the objectives of TNFC is the sole discretion ofthe organization
