Position Details The Financial Services team invites qualified applicants to apply for the full time continuing position of Financial Analyst to start preferably by November 3rd, 2026.

Reporting to the Director of Resource Planning, this position will be a financial consultant to other University departments as well as complete activities within the Financial Services department that supports the institution’s strategic priorities. Through the financial consultant role, the analyst will be instrumental in adding value by providing analysis, budgetary advice, training, reporting, risk identification and mitigation, business process recommendations, and proactive support to departments. Within the Financial Services department, this challenging role will be responsible for complex accounting and analytical functions, account reconciliations, yearend working papers,



processing and approving accounting transactions and various projects as they arise.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

Position Qualifications The successful candidate must have a minimum of a University degree and an accounting designation, plus a minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience. Experience with forecasting and reporting is required. Experience working in a post-secondary institution as well as experience using various software programs such as Banner, FMW Web budget software, Caseware and Excel for analysis, would be considered an asset.

Candidates must possess solid analytical skills, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, experience working in a collaborative role and superior organizational skills to manage multiple demands. This is a fast paced, dynamic environment where it is critical that the successful candidate be able to adapt to change, handle a workload with multiple, competing deadlines, and be able to respond positively and professionally to the pressures of change of course and new assignments.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$66,716.84 - $83,930.19 annually

Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$66,716.84 - $101,143.54 annually (APO - Grade 3)
