About the Role:

The Fleet Intown Driver plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods and materials within urban and suburban areas across Canada.



This position requires a professional driver who can efficiently navigate city streets, manage delivery schedules, and maintain excellent communication with dispatch and clients. The primary goal is to uphold the company’s standards for safety, reliability, and customer service while handling a variety of vehicle types within the fleet.

The driver will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the assigned vehicle, ensuring it remains in optimal condition for daily operations. Ultimately, this role supports the company’s logistics and supply chain objectives by providing dependable and efficient in-town transportation services.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Valid Canadian driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class being operated.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or suspensions.
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in urban delivery or fleet operations.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, GPS, and delivery instructions accurately.
- Physical capability to load and unload goods as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience driving commercial vehicles or trucks within a fleet environment.
- Familiarity with Canadian road regulations and urban traffic patterns.
- Customer service experience, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills.




- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to perform minor repairs or troubleshooting.
- Certification in workplace safety or defensive driving courses.

Responsibilities:

- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring accuracy and preventing damage during transit.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to complete deliveries and pickups within designated timeframes.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
- Document delivery activities accurately, including obtaining signatures and completing required paperwork.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment for self and others.
