Pink Moon Cafe is a fully plant based food truck operating year-round out of the Comox Valley. We are currently seeking a part time team member (2-4 evenings weekly) to join our team in a dish washing role. The ideal candidate must be efficient, thorough and detail-oriented. We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident working for many hours at a time solo; the majority of shifts would be working independently in the truck. This position involves daily tasks such as:

- hand washing, rinsing and sanitizing all dishware and equipment used daily
- packing and labelling prepped ingredients daily, storing appropriately (FIFO method)
- restocking and basic food prep tasks
- keeping accurate temperature logs, including maintaining food secure temps, appropriate wash water temps, and sanitizer concentrations
- performing nightly top to bottom cleaning tasks, including cleaning and sanitizing all fridges, freezers, counter tops, oven, grill, beverage equipment, sinks, service windows, floors, etc.
- refilling potable water tank, and disposing of grey water from waste tanks daily




- disposing of trash and organizing recycling daily
- performing extra weekly/monthly deep cleaning tasks
- performing daily cash outs (counting and balancing till, dropping money for cash deposits)
- working confidently and efficiently solo in the food truck
- maintaining a highly organized and foodsafe workspace at all times
- experience working in a kitchen / restaurant related role is preferred; will train for someone with the right fit and attitude
- some tasks require heavy lifting daily

Shifts would typically be afternoons/evenings, 2-4 days per week (flexible). Most shifts are between 4-5 hours, but can vary.
