Northern Lift Truck is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Mechanic / Technician to join our service team in the North Bay area. Must have a clean driving record to join our team (driving abstract required).

This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of forklifts and material handling equipment. Work may be performed in our shop or at customer locations depending on scheduling needs. Candidates must have tools and the ability to work in different enviroments and situations. Candidates should be self-motivated, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electric, LPG, diesel, and gas-powered forklifts
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and other industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Order and install replacement parts as needed
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and performance standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers
- Travel to customer locations (field roles) using a company-provided vehicle

Qualifications





- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a forklift, automotive or heavy equipment mechanic
- Solid mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with brands such as Toyota, Hyster, Crown, Yale, Raymond, etc.
- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments
