Under the supervision of the Front Desk Manager, the ideal candidate has a natural talent for hospitality and is driven by guest satisfaction. They are detail-oriented by nature, and their strong analytical skills enable them to ensure the sound financial management of the property. The successful candidate enjoys working in a energetic and sometimes unpredictable environment where creativity and initiative are valuable assets.
Warm, professional, and approachable, they foster positive guest interactions and promote effective communication with both internal and external departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide a warm and welcoming experience for guests;
- Manage the administrative and service aspects of guest arrivals and departures;
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and securely enter confidential credit card information into the system;
- Answer telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate department based on guest needs;
- Follow up efficiently on guest requests and inquiries;
- Provide information about local attractions and regional activities in collaboration with the property's concierge team;
- Work closely with the entire front office team to identify and exceed guest expectations;
- Respond to all guest requests with enthusiasm and professionalism;
- Exercise discretion and maintain guest confidentiality at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hospitality education, considered an asset;
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience;
- Knowledge of a hotel management system (Opera Cloud, an asset);
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Familiarity with the surrounding area and local tourist attractions;
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills;
- Strong sense of responsibility and initiative;
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment;
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving;
- Flexible availability (days, evenings, and weekends);
- Professional appearance;
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, spoken and written.
