LEAD SERVER

$19.00 per hour Approximately 28–36 hours per week

SUNDAY TO THURSDAY NO LATE NIGHTS YEAR-ROUND EMPLOYMENT The Wellings of Picton is a vibrant community for independent adults who are 55+. Our hospitality team plays a central role by delivering exceptional dining experiences that promote connection, enjoyment, and wellbeing for our members and guests.

Our Front of House team supports daily lunch, dinner & bar service alongside a variety of special events, themed dinners, and catering-style functions throughout the year.

We are looking for a reliable, friendly and professional Lead Server to join our Front of House team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys providing great service, building relationships and working as part of a supportive hospitality team. The Lead Server will also provide direction and support to the Front of House team in the absence of the FOH Supervisor or Hospitality Manager.

SCHEDULE

· Sunday to Thursday

· Approximately 28–36 hours per week

· Shifts are scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

· No late nights but will sometimes be extended due to special events

· Consistent weekly schedule

· Additional hours will be available for special events and to provide coverage for staff absences

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to our members and guests

· Prepare the dining room for meal service

· Set tables with appropriate glassware, cutlery and napkins

· Take meal orders accurately

· Serve meals and beverages efficiently





· Follow proper serving and clearing procedures

· Clear, clean and reset tables

· Maintain a clean and organized dining room, servery and bar

· Assist with special events and functions

· Communicate effectively with both Front of House and Back of House teams

· Follow food safety, sanitation and workplace procedures

· Assist with opening and closing duties

· Provide excellent customer service and help create a welcoming dining experience

LEAD SERVER RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide direction and support to the Front of House team in the absence of the FOH Supervisor or Hospitality Manager

· Help ensure servers understand their assigned sections and responsibilities

· Support the organization and flow of dining service

· Help ensure service standards and established procedures are followed

· Assist team members with questions or concerns during service

· Communicate important service or member concerns to management

· Help promote positive communication and teamwork between Front of House and Back of House

· Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, reliability and excellent customer service

Previous serving or hospitality experience is an asset. Previous leadership experience is also an asset; however, we are willing to consider the right person who demonstrates strong communication, reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn.
