Latin Foods is a located inside the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, serving authentic Latin dishes and aims to building strong connections with our community.
This role serves and runs food on the restaurant but also cash out customers as a cashier on the grocery store side. The ideal candidate will have food service and/or grocery store experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Able to work a POS system and handle cash transactions
- Customer service oriented
- Setting up, breaking down, and maintaining a station for food service
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and reporting any issues to management
- Accountable for following proper company, food safety; health safety and sanitation protocols
- Willing to assist in any task when asked by management
Education & Qualifications
- Ability to speak both Spanish and English is an asset.
- Previous experience working in food service industry is an asset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and team atmosphere
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and problem solve under pressure
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Able to meet physical demands of environment, stand for up to 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs
