We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting fuel to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license, familiarity with commercial driving, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary.
The Delivery
Driver plays a vital role in ensuring our clients receive their orders accurately and on schedule.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport fuel to designated locations.
- Load and unload fuel as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and Company policies to ensure safe driving practices.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Handling various fuels, maintain spill kits and report/clean up all spills.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, fuel delivery, or related roles preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred.
- Prior experience operating heavy vehicle is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
- Experience using computers, including tablets and other applications preferred.
- Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
- Understanding of fuel handling, as outlined by government legislation and regulations
