We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and energetic Full-Time Floor Sommelier to manage and execute our extensive wine program while providing unmatched tableside service. This dynamic role requires seamless cross-location collaboration, with shifts split between our Vin Room West and Vin Room Mission properties. As a core member of our floor team, you will act as a well-traveled guide for our guests, curating unforgettable wine journeys that perfectly pair with our tapas menu and features

Key responsibilities

- Wine List Execution: Flawlessly execute our award-winning wine program across both venues, ensuring structural consistency and technical accuracy, and work with the Proprietor or their delegate on any proposed wine list changes
- On-the-Floor Guest Wine Service: Direct tableside service to guide guests through our extensive list, recommending flights, glasses, and bottle pairings.
- Cellar & Inventory Management: Oversee cellar organization, log incoming vendor shipments, manage stock rotation, updating of inventory on micros and maintain strict inventory counts to drive revenue and protect beverage costs. Propose weekly order based on budgets
- Floor Leadership & Support:



Support the broader front-of-house team with standard tableside food and beverage service, ensuring overall operational fluidity during peak volumes.
- Staff Mentorship: Act as an on-shift educator, sharing wine tasting notes and service techniques to elevate the product knowledge of our collaborative server team.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: WSET Level 3 certification or higher
- Experience: Proven experience in a fine dining, high-volume upscale lounge, or dedicated wine bar setting.
- Team Synergy: Must thrive in a highly collaborative, team-centric atmosphere. A positive attitude, low-ego mindset, and eagerness to step in and assist colleagues across all floor duties are mandatory.
- Flexibility: Willingness and open availability to work dynamic full-time shifts (including evenings and weekends) across both designated Calgary locations and actively serve on the floor

- Credentials: Valid ProServe certification and legal eligibility to work full-time hours in Alberta.
