The Role

DFP has a great chance for Gas, Plumbing and Heating Engineers in the North East region. DFP provide planned and reactive maintenance, response & repair to all types of gas, heating and plumbing to Care Homes, NHS buildings, Universities, local Councils, sheltered housing, commercial shops, and many other properties throughout the country.

- Pay: Up to £40,000
- Location: On the road

The Responsibilities

- Carrying out diagnostic fault finding to boilers, water heaters, warm air, etc.
- Completing maintenance & PPM certification paperwork on PDA
- Efficiently maintaining and repairing gas plant equipment, plumbing, heating systems and components
- Identifying areas for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements, supplying accurate quotations where required for any additional works
- Understanding and completing all work-related documentation accurately on time, to exceed the customer’s expectations
- Complying with company policies and procedures
- Carrying out work in a safe and diligent manner
- Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Attending and fully participating in training and appraisal activities as required





The Person

- Commercial gas qualifications
- Commercial gas experience
- Gas Safe
- CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1,
- Good general experience, working in care homes or public sector environment preferable
- A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Generally, IT literate
- Clear oral and written communication skills
- A customer focused approach
- Plumbing, AC, commercial plant fault finding experience preferable
- Good general knowledge of electrics is preferable

The Training

Full training will be provided.

The Hours

- 08:00am -16.30pm, 5 days per week, 40 hours
- Overtime rate paid after 40 hours
- Double time paid for call outs between 12am & 5am and Sundays
- Call out rota 1 day in every 4
- Overtime available
- £125 Standby rate
