Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Laborer will perform a range of duties including some or all of the following:

- Assist with glass cutting, screen and glass repairs, and thermal unit creation as needed
- Drive workers to and from job sites
- Assist glaziers on-site with window and thermal unit installation and repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Other duties around the shop as required

Qualifications

Education

- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in trades is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of how to perform the following tasks (or the ability to quickly learn how to do so):

- Accurate glass cutting
- Repairs to windows, mirrors, glass, screens, etc.
- Build thermal units
- Build screens

Applicant is required to have a valid driver’s license and be legally eligible to work in Canada.

- Problem solving skills allowing identification of issues as well as the ability to generate possible solutions and make recommendations to resolve the issue.

Experience

- 1-3 years experience in shop work.
