About the role

Lakehead Newsprint is looking for reliable, hard-working people to join our plant team at Keefer Terminal on a casual basis. While we often hire students, this position is open to anyone looking for steady, hands-on work. When the plant is busy, this role offers full-time hours, and there is flexibility for students balancing school.

What you'll do

- Assemble cartons and cut cores for paper products
- Pack paper for shipment
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Support full time operators and crew with a variety of tasks as needed

Schedule

- Day shift: 6:45am-2:45pm
- Evening shifts: 3:45pm-1:45am and occasional Saturdays may be required depending on workload
- Flexible scheduling available throughout the year for this position

What we offer





- $18.00/hour starting wage
- Overtime paid at time-and-a-half
- Unionized workplace (Unifor Local 39)
- On-the-job training, no experience required
- Full-time hours during busy periods

What we're looking for

- Dependable and punctual, with a good work ethic
- Comfortable with physical work and being on your feet
- Willing to follow all safety procedures and training
- CSA-approved steel-toe boots and high-visibility clothing required
- Able to work without a cell phone during work hours

Please note: This is a casual position. Hours vary with workload and full-time hours are not guaranteed

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
