Rock Pine Construction is a locally owned construction and landscaping company in North Bay, in business since 2010. Our Stone Cutting division runs year-round, manufacturing granite steps, treads, caps, slabs and custom pieces for our own installation crews and for outside customers.

We are hiring a saw operator for the shop. This is a year-round position - it does not shut down for the winter.

WHAT THE JOB IS

- Operate the stone saw to cut granite steps, treads, caps, slabs and custom pieces to spec
- Work from cut lists and drawings and hold tight tolerances
- Move, rig and set stone safely using forklift, overhead lifting and clamps
- Blade changes, water system checks and routine saw maintenance
- Keep the shop and yard organized and help load crew and customer orders

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience on a stone, concrete or masonry saw is a strong asset, but we will train the right person
- Comfortable measuring accurately and working from a cut list
- Mechanically inclined,



steady and safety-minded
- Reliable - the crews and our customers work to the shop's schedule

WHAT WE OFFER
- $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience
- Year-round work - this is not a seasonal position
- Full time hours
- 4% vacation pay
- Forklift and equipment training provided

WHAT YOU NEED
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to the shop
- Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet through the day
- CSA-approved steel-toed boots
- Forklift certification is an asset

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
