Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Groundsman/woman to join our dynamic team, pruning and removing trees. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting climbers/fallers, ensuring safety, and assisting with various grounds-related tasks. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to creating a safe worksite. This position offers an exciting prospect to develop your skills arboculture, in equipment operation, and rigging while working in a collaborative setting.

Duties

- Cleanup brush/limbs as they are being cut down. Keep job site clean, operate chainsaws and hedge trimmers.
- Tie knots and assist rigging down branches.
- Operate equipment including bucket trucks and bucket lifts safely for tree trimming, pruning, or other elevated tasks
- Perform routine inspections of grounds, ensuring safety standards are met and identifying areas needing repair or attention
- Maintain tools and equipment in excellent condition through proper cleaning, storage, and minor repair.

Skills





- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently for elevated work tasks
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including, pruning, planting, and irrigation systems.
- Strong understanding of arboculture culture principles related to plant health, soil management, and seasonal care
- Competence in using various tools and machinery required for groundskeeping tasks
- Excellent attention to safety protocols when working at heights or with heavy equipment
