Location: Squire John’s, 209896 Highway 26 West, The Blue Mountains, ON.

Employment type: Seasonal, Full Time

Season: Approximately October/November – April 15th

Hours: Monday – Friday, Weekends, and Holidays as required.

Reports to: Managing Director

Position Summary:

As a seasonal Hardgoods Sales Associate at our Main Store on highway 26, you'll help skiers and snowboarders of every level find the equipment that's right for them. You'll bring your product knowledge and your passion for winter sports to every conversation, so they leave confident in their gear and excited for the season ahead.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service on the shop floor
- Assess customer needs, ability level, terrain preferences and budget to recommend the right skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, poles and helmets
- Fit ski and snowboard boots, and explain how fit affects comfort and performance
- Build product knowledge on current brands, technologies and new arrivals, and share it clearly with customers
- Suggest complementary items and accessories to complete the customer's setup
- Coordinate with the service team on binding mounts, tuning and equipment pickup
- Process sales, returns, exchanges and gift cards accurately using the POS system




- Merchandise and maintain hardgoods displays, walls and demo areas so they are clean, organized and well stocked
- Assist with receiving, tagging, pricing and inventory counts
- Support store promotions, sales events and programs, and help meet team sales goals
- Follow all health and safety, loss-prevention and cash-handling procedures
- Take on other retail duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Previous retail sales experience, ideally in ski, snowboard or outdoor equipment, is an asset, but we'll train the right person
- Boot fitting experience or training is an asset
- Strong knowledge of, or passion for, skiing and snowboarding
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly, consultative approach to selling
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling cash, debit and credit transactions
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Availability for the full winter season, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
