Your Mission:

As our Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing the facility’s fleet of mobile equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational availability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, vehicles, and associated systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with established maintenance schedules.

- Maintain and repair
- Volvo and John Deere wheel loaders
- Telehandlers
- Man lifts
- Kubota UTVs
- Light-duty trucks and support vehicles

- Service diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrain components, steering systems, braking systems, and attachments.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and proactively identify maintenance concerns.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair situations.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and component replacement as required.
- Perform all work in accordance with company policies, safe work procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and safety initiatives.
- Participate in after-hours, emergency, and on-call maintenance activities as required.

This job is for you if you:

- Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (Journeyperson/Red Seal) or equivalent recognized trade certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment.
- Demonstrated experience working with wheel loaders, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, mining equipment, or similar heavy-duty machinery.

- Strong working knowledge of

- Braking systems

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service documentation.
- Experience performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
- Have mechanical aptitude – it’s a robust fit, allowing you to complete daily inspections confidently.
- Are resourceful and capable of working alone and collaboratively within a team.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License – it is a requirement.
