We are looking for an Equipment Operator to join our energetic team in Kamloops and surrounding area.

Applicant Qualifications

- 3–5+ years of experience in the civil construction industry
- Must have civil construction experience working around underground utilities
- Experienced in civil contracting — subdivisions, water, sewer, and storm servicing
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Capable of digging around deep and shallow utilities, identifying safety hazards, and implementing safe practices around overhead lines and underground utilities
- Knowledgeable of machine operation, daily maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Shows pride in machinery maintenance, including daily pre-operational checks, greasing/lubricating equipment, and cleaning the cab
- Able to cut grade and follow grade stakes and/or laser




- Comfortable and safe working in congested areas
- Reports equipment damage or issues to the Foreman or Supervisor immediately, and monitors equipment hours for upcoming maintenance
- Accurately completes daily logs and time cards
- Collects truck tickets and tracks load counts
- Effectively communicates the need for materials or equipment on the job as required
- Team player who takes direction well, is open to different ways of doing things, and works well with others
- Willing to assist the grounds crew as needed

Additional Requirements

- First Aid ticket, or willing to complete company-provided course
- Ground Disturbance Supervisor course required
- Confined Space ticket an asset

Pay: $35.00-$39.00 per hour
