Job Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to support upcoming winter access construction projects in Northern Alberta. Operators will be responsible for building and maintaining winter access, clearing and preparing work areas, and freezing in pads and access roads for drilling operations. Experience working in muskeg, winter access construction, and operating Snowcats is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support winter access and remote camp construction.
- Clear and prepare access roads, camp areas, pads, and other designated work areas.
- Build and maintain winter access roads and routes through muskeg and other challenging terrain.
- Assist with freezing in access roads, pads, and drilling areas to establish safe and reliable winter work surfaces.
- Operate equipment in remote and winter conditions while maintaining awareness of changing ground and weather conditions.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with supervisors and other site personnel to complete work according to project requirements and schedules.
- Follow all site safety procedures, environmental requirements, and operational instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as required to support the project.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in winter construction or remote access projects.
- Winter access construction experience is required.
- Experience working on muskeg and challenging winter terrain.
- Experience building, maintaining, or freezing in winter roads, access routes, pads, or drilling areas.
- Experience working in a remote camp environment.
- Snowcat experience is considered an asset.
- Operating relevant heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work outdoors in winter conditions and adapt to changing weather and site conditions.




- Strong commitment to safety and ability to follow site procedures and direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test, including cannabis
