Paramount Ice is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Skating and Hockey Instructors to join our team!

We are seeking experienced instructors and skilled skaters or hockey players who are passionate about developing young athletes. Previous experience working with children and youth is preferred, with NCCP certification or equivalent considered an asset.

At our North York and Thornhill locations, we offer a variety of skating and hockey programs, including Learn to Skate, Learn to Play and Hockey Skills programs ranging from House League and Select to A-AAA/Elite levels. Our programs are available for both youth and adults.

We are looking for instructors who are passionate about developing athletes, creating positive learning experiences, and helping students build confidence and skills in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Hours of Work:

- Days
- Evenings
- Weekends

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver engaging, effective, and age-appropriate skating and/or hockey instruction based on program plans developed by the Head Instructor or Head of Development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning setting for students of all skill levels.
- Build positive relationships with students and their families.
- Assess student development and provide constructive feedback to support continued improvement.
- Adapt teaching techniques and activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Use a variety of instructional methods, drills, and resources to enhance learning and skill development.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records when required.
- Promote a safe and respectful environment both on and off the ice.




- Work collaboratively with other instructors and Paramount Ice staff to deliver high-quality programs.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous coaching or instructional experience is preferred.
- NCCP certification or equivalent is an asset.
- Strong skating and/or hockey skills with the ability to teach foundational techniques.
- Experience working with children and youth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and encourage students.
- Patient, positive, and approachable teaching style.
- Ability to work effectively with students of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to creating a positive experience for students and families.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is required.
