About the Role

ApexHealth provides private home‑care services that help seniors and adults with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. We are hiring compassionate PSWs, Home Support Workers, and Caregivers for non‑facility home‑care assignments across Windsor–Essex.

This role includes personal care, companionship, homemaking, overnight support, dementia support, and general daily‑living assistance.

ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care & Daily Living Support

- Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene
- Support feeding, hydration, mobility, transfers, and fall‑prevention
- Provide medication reminders and observe non‑clinical vitals
- Offer dementia/Alzheimer’s support through redirection, reassurance, and cognitive engagement
- Help with chronic‑condition routines and daily‑living needs

Home Support, Homemaking & Companionship

- Provide companionship, conversation, emotional support, and social engagement
- Perform homemaking and housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, organizing, and meal preparation
- Assist with errands, grocery shopping, appointments, and hospital/home sitting
- Conduct safety check‑ins and routine monitoring

Overnight, Live‑In & Respite Support

- Provide awake, sleep‑over, or live‑in overnight presence
- Offer reassurance, safety monitoring, and nighttime assistance
- Deliver respite relief for family caregivers

Disability & Community Support

- Support life‑skills development and non‑clinical disability needs
- Assist with community outings and daily functioning

Experience & Skills

- Background in caregiving, home care, PSW support, dementia care, or disability support
- Comfortable working independently with compassion and professionalism




- Ability to assist with personal care tasks (for PSW/Caregiver applicants)
- Experience supporting seniors or individuals with disabilities, including dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Familiarity with safe mobility and transfer techniques
- Solid skills in meal preparation, homemaking, and maintaining a clean environment
- Excellent communication skills and a supportive, client‑focused approach
- Availability for daytime, evening, weekend, overnight, or live‑in assignments
- PSW students and healthcare students are welcome to apply
- Ability to travel to assigned work locations within Windsor–Essex

Background & Screening Requirements (These are legal and appropriate for home‑care roles.)

- Ability to provide a Criminal Record & Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC)
- Ability to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) when required
- Two professional references
- Government‑issued ID and eligibility to work in Canada
- Clean driving record (if driving clients)

Pay: $17.60-$28.60 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 35.0 per week
