Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high-quality care to our residents and clients. This role involves assisting individuals with their daily needs, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, home care, or working with individuals with disabilities, and possess a robust understanding of patient care practices.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as grooming, and monitoring personal hygiene
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Support individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments with compassion and care
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment




- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Provide support for back-to-independence goals
- Support patients during activities of daily living, including toileting and mobility assistance
- Provide family updates regarding client care

Requirements

- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring support, dementia or hospice care is highly desirable
- Ability to assist with mobility support
- Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliability is essential
- Valid drivers license is required
- Ability to pass vulnerable sector criminal Record check is mandatory
- Firm grasp the English language and clear spoken English is very important

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour Work Location: On the road
