Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to residents in home care settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, medication administration, and emotional support for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, people with disabilities, and those experiencing dementia or hospice care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable populations through attentive and respectful caregiving.

Responsibilities

- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
- Support patients with dementia or hospice needs by implementing specialized care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to ensure a comfortable living space
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate case management and care plans
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and medical terminology standards




- Support residents during medical appointments or outings as needed
- Willingness to work short and long shifts

Experience

- Prior experience in nursing homes, senior care, home care, or assisted living environments is highly desirable
- Experience working with people with disabilities or those requiring dementia or hospice care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical terminology is advantageous
- Previous caregiving experience demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and maintain physical stamina for patient care tasks
- Familiarity with cleaning routines and maintaining hygiene standards in healthcare settings is beneficial

Must have

- Valid Police Clearance Certificate with vulnerability check
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Must Have own vehicle
