Larga is a residence for guests travelling from Nunavut while tending to their medical needs. Our mission is to provide a home-away-from-home managed by staff who are welcoming, friendly, approachable, trustworthy, caring, and have a strong desire and willingness to assist guests with their needs throughout the duration of their stay with us. We are seeking an experienced and services focused Hospitality Services Supervisor to oversee day-to-day hospitality operations and help ensure a welcoming, safe, and professional environment for our guests and staff.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership to the hospitality team, coordinate daily service activities, maintain high standards of cleanliness and customer service, and support efficient operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and delivering excellent guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all guest rooms, hallways, stairwells, washrooms and all common areas are throroughly cleaned.
- Supervise, support, and provide day-to-day direction to hospitality services staff.
- Coordinate staff schedules, workloads, and daily operational priorities.
- Train and coach employees on service standards, procedures, workplace safety and customer service.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, monitor stock usage, and order supplies as required.
- Monitor the quality of hospitality services and ensure established standards are consistently met.
- Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and service requests.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest service areas and address deficiencies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation,
and organizational policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to provide efficient and coordinated services.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Indigenous languages/culture is an asset.
- Must have 2 years experience in housekeeping along with previous supervisory or team-lead experience
- Strong leadership and communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Able to read, write, comprehend and speak English fluently.
- Must be able to successfully pass a medical clearance and criminal record check
The following certifications must be maintained either annual or as each expires;
- WHMIS Certification
- Emergency Response Training
- Fire Extinguisher Training
- First Aid/CPR
