Host/Hostess – Hey Lucy Cafe

Hey Lucy Cafe is looking for an upbeat, friendly, and outgoing Host/Hostess to join our Front of House team!

As the first and last point of contact for our guests, our hosts play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and keeping the restaurant running smoothly. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, stays positive in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently manage guest flow and reservations.

Responsibilities

- Warmly welcome and greet guests as they arrive
- Seat guests and manage table rotation throughout the restaurant
- Manage reservations and organize upcoming bookings
- Answer the restaurant phone and take reservations
- Manage the wait-list and provide guests with accurate wait-time estimates
- Take takeout orders over the phone and ensure orders are entered accurately
- Communicate with servers and management to maintain an organized flow of guests
- Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, and general inquiries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host area
- Provide friendly and qualified customer service at all times
- Assist the Front of House team as needed during busy periods





What We're Looking For Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is an asset, but we are also happy to consider candidates with experience in other customer-facing or customer service roles.

- Comfortable speaking with guests both in person and over the phone
- Organized and able to multitask
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a busy, rapid-paced restaurant workplace
- A strong communicator and team player
- Able to remain calm and professional during busy service periods

Availability Candidates must be available to work late nights, weekends, and holidays. Versatile availability is important, as shifts will vary based on the needs of the restaurant.

Pay: $17.60-$17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
