Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things in top shape?

We’re looking for an Evening and Weekend Maintenance person (2 weeknights from 5-9pm preferably Thursday and Friday and weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 12-8pm )to join our team at Super 8 Winnipeg East to ensure our hotel remains, beautiful and well maintained and welcoming for every guest.

As a maintenance person, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the hotel in pristine condition, ensuring every aspect reflects high standard of quality and aesthetics. Your attention to detail directly enhances the guest experience and upholds our reputation for comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Building Maintenance

- Inspect and repair plumbing, electrical, and structural components
- Maintain doors, windows, floors, and walls for security and appearance

Groundskeeping

- Mow lawns, clear sidewalks, trim hedges, and remove debris

HVAC Systems

- Inspect, clean, and repair, change filters on HVAC systems

Plumbing & Electrical

- Fix leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures
- Replace bulbs, switches, and basic electrical components

Equipment Maintenance

- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and machinery
- Repair minor issues and assist with sourcing replacements

Pool/Spa Maintenance





- Maintain pool/spa equipment and chemical balance

Safety Inspections

- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain logs
- Ensure fire alarms, extinguishers, and detectors are functional
- Participate in Health & Safety Committee
- WHMIS certification required or willingness to obtain

Painting & Finishing

- Paint and repair surfaces to maintain a fresh appearance

Emergency Repairs

- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues
- Collaborate with team to resolve problems efficiently

Documentation

- Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, and inspections

The successful candidate will possess: · Technical expertise: solid understanding of building systems including plumbing, HVAC and general repairs

· Attention to detail: a keen eye for identifying maintenance needs

· Problem solving skills: ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and implement effective solutions

· Maintenance experience required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
