Position Title: Housekeeper

Department: Housekeeping - Infrastructure and Sustainability

Appointment Type: Term (11 months)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. 40 hours per week.

Job Classification: USW Pay Band 2

Pay Rate (Hourly): Probationary: $22.26 – After 480 Hours: $24.07 – After 2080 Hours: $26.96

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager and on the job leadership of the Housekeeping Lead Hand, the incumbent provides scheduled cleaning,



ongoing support and customer service to all areas of the University. Housekeepers are to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and promote a positive attitude.

Qualifications Required:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Two years of related housekeeping experience.

Other

Able to perform assigned housekeeping duties (operating equipment for floor maintenance etc.), with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to identify and measure chemicals that are required to perform housekeeping duties

Ability to set up and operate audio/visual equipment

Valuable communication skills
