Human Resources Coordinator
Annual Salary: $49, 289.85- $61,612.32 (commensurate with experience)
Permanent, Full Time

St. Joseph's Health Centre is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team, supporting Villa St. Gabriel Villa. This position provides a broad range of operational HR support and plays an important role in recruitment, onboarding, employee support, HRIS administration, organizational programs, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, discretion, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills, while supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
Key Responsibilities,
- Coordinate the administrative aspects of recruitment and onboarding, including offers of employment, employment documentation, new employee requirements, orientation, training, and mandatory education.
- Serve as a welcoming and responsive HR resource for new employees and employees throughout their employment.
- Create and maintain employee records and profiles in HRIS and online learning systems, ensuring information is accurate,
complete, and up to date.
- Prepare employment confirmation letters, contract letters, and other HR documentation.
- Develop and provide HRIS reports and workforce information to support managers and organizational decision-making.
- Coordinate the biannual performance appraisal process, including distribution, tracking, reporting, and record management.
- Coordinate organizational programs such as the Grow Our Own Program and Education Bursary.
- Work collaboratively with the Infection Prevention and Control team to coordinate the annual Influenza Immunization Program and maintain related HR records and reporting.
- Track qualified registration requirements for registered staff and support compliance with applicable registration requirements.
- Support students, formal learners, and employee development initiatives.
- Contribute to HR policy and process development, workflow improvement, value stream mapping, and strategic initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and represent the organization at committees, community meetings, career fairs, and education events.
- Support the development of peers, employees,
and formal learners and promote opportunities for professional development.
- Provide backup support for the creation of Surge profiles and passwords when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, Administrative Assistant, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a health care, non-profit or public sector environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working with HRIS or other information management systems; experience developing or working with HR reports is an asset.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new systems and tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leaders, committees, and colleagues.
- Bilingualism considered an asset.
