Strength Within Psychotherapy is seeking a warm, skilled therapist to join our growing private practice as a part-time independent contractor.

This position is currently virtual and will primarily involve providing individual and couples psychotherapy to clients across Ontario. As the practice continues to expand, there may also be opportunities for future in-person work in the Orangeville area, so openness to a hybrid model in the future is preferred.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who bring training, experience, or areas of specialization that complement the existing practice.

Compensation

- Independent contractor, fee-for-service position
- $90–$120 per client session, based on registration status and the applicable contractor split
- Percentage-based compensation structure
- Caseload developed gradually based on clinician availability, areas of practice, client fit, and referral demand
- Flexible scheduling; some evening and/or weekend availability is preferred
- Compensation and contract terms reviewed periodically

The Role

Responsibilities may include

- Providing individual psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, and/or children depending on training and competence
- Providing couples therapy where appropriately trained
- Conducting intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Managing risk and continuity-of-care concerns within professional scope
- Participating in monthly practice consultation and collaboration
- Maintaining all regulatory, ethical, privacy, and professional requirements

Required Qualifications

Applicants must





- Be registered and in good standing in Ontario as an RP, RP (Qualifying), RSW, OT, or other appropriately regulated mental health professional
- Hold a relevant master’s-level degree with graduate-level psychotherapy training
- Carry appropriate professional liability insurance
- Practise within their professional scope and areas of competence
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, reliability, and communication
- Be able to maintain timely clinical documentation and responsibility for their own clinical caseload and professional obligations

RP (Qualifying) Applicants RP (Qualifying) applicants are welcome to apply.

Qualifying clinicians must

- Have appropriate external clinical supervision in place, or be able to establish it prior to beginning client work with the practice
- Maintain all supervision required by CRPO throughout their work with the practice
- Be responsible for arranging and paying for their own supervision

Strength Within Psychotherapy does not currently provide formal clinical supervision.

- Couples and relationship therapy
- EMDR




- Trauma and PTSD
- First responders and frontline professionals
- Children and adolescents
- Neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism
- Anxiety and depression
- Somatic, embodied, experiential, or attachment-based therapies
- Grief and loss
- Parent or family support
- Women’s mental health
- Addictions or concurrent disorders
