Your Responsibilities

- 3D modeling from conceptual phase through to fabrication, assemblies, and installation
- Design for fabrication – we build everything we design, so prototyping and close interaction with the shop floor and CNC machines is critical;
- Creation of fabrication drawings and CNC files;
- Working with fabrication crews and CNC machines to ensure models are translated accurately into human- and machine-readable information;
- Production of detailed drawings for approval, engineering, and production;
- Coordinate design information with external teams, engineers, and contractors;
- Standardization of connections, fasteners & fabrication techniques to improve production efficiency;
- Continual improvement of design & drafting process to improve efficiency and reduce design cycle times;
- Manage and prioritize tasks to meet scheduled deadlines;
- Maintaining and growing construction industry technical knowledge.

Position Requirements

- Must have completion of minimum 2-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology;
- Must have a minimum three years of experience
- Knowledge in drafting standards and principles
- Good knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and a strong aptitude for spatial reasoning




- Strong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language, both orally
- and in writing
- Strong computer skills and proficiency
- Strong knowledge of Rhino software
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as HSB CAD, Revit,
- TEKLA Structures, Bluebeam, or equivalent software.
- Knowledge and experience with timber design & detailing
- Knowledge of steel design & detailing
- A desire to learn and continually develop;
- Team player, able to prioritize tasks with exceptional organizational skills;
- Detail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

Who will you be working with?

You will be working with many of our staff and reporting to our 3D Design & Drafting Manager.

- Location: Full-time in person at Abbotsford office located at 1929 Foy Street, Abbotsford,
- BC, V2T6B1.

- Annual Salary for this position: $77,000
