Excellence Fences & Decks Inc. is a professional and growing Winnipeg-based construction company specializing in fences, decks, exterior construction, and seasonal interior renovation work.
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and motivated individual to join our team for the upcoming winter season. The ideal candidate would be someone we can bring on right away to assist with the end of our exterior season, including fencing and deck-related work, and then transition into interior renovation projects during the winter.

Position Overview
This role is best suited for someone with strong hands-on experience in interior renovations, flooring installation, carpentry, framing, trim work, and general construction.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in clean, accurate work, understands the importance of quality and efficiency, and can work well both independently and as part of a crew.
Responsibilities
- Install flooring, including laminate, vinyl plank, engineered flooring, and related products
- Complete interior carpentry and finishing work
- Install baseboards, casing, trim, doors, and other finish materials
- Assist with framing and general renovation work
- Complete demolition, preparation, repairs,
and site clean-up
- Assist with fencing and deck construction during the end of the exterior season
- Measure, cut, and install materials accurately
- Install fence posts, gates, hardware, deck framing, boards, and related materials when needed
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with project leads, team members, and clients when required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site
- Follow company safety procedures and job site guidelines
Requirements
- Experience in interior renovations, flooring, carpentry, framing, or related construction work
- Fence and deck building experience is an asset
- Ability to read measurements and complete accurate cuts
- Comfortable using hand tools, saws, drills, impacts, and other power tools
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of construction work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Own basic tools is a must.
- Ability to work in different job site conditions, including indoor renovation work and seasonal outdoor construction

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
- 8-10 hour shifts
