Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine ACA (Animal Care Assistant) to join our dynamic team in our 18,000 sqft Animal Hospital. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Internal medicine team during daily appointments & procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and possess excellent communication skills.

Duties

- Assist DVMs/RVTs in preparing for appointments and procedures.
- Assisting with restraint for various procedures and diagnostic tests
- Clipping and preparation of Animals for various procedures.
- Assisting RVT's with advanced diagnostics- CT & X-rays
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless operations during procedures.
- Sterilization and cleaning of the endoscopy equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- General ACA duties- Walking & feeding patients, Laundry,



cleaning duties, restocking of internal medicine department

Experience

- Previous experience in a Veterinary setting, particularly in an emergency or referral hospital is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively
