Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Director Marketing, the Edmonton-based Marketing and Events Officer will work on Insight’s marketing and promotional event activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working with the Director of Marketing and the marketing team, the Marketing and Events Officer supports content, creative, and event activity across Insight's brands. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Social Media

- Create, schedule, and publish content across Insight Psychological, Insight Workplace, and Spring Integrative Wellness’ social media channels, following approved content calendars and brand voice.
- Design supporting graphics and edit short-form video for social use, including repurposing longer footage into reels, clips, and stories.
- Draft captions and platform-appropriate copy for review, adjusting tone and messaging for each brand's audience.
- Monitor comments and direct messages, respond within established guidelines, and escalate clinical, sensitive, or reputational matters to the Director of Marketing.
- Track engagement and reach, and contribute to regular reporting on social media performance.
- Maintain an organized library of social media assets and a record of published content.

Marketing Material Development

- Produce digital and print marketing materials, including brochures, one-pagers, posters, banners, display and booth materials, presentation decks, and web and email graphics.
- Submit all clinical, program, and service content for clinical and management review prior to publication or printing.

Therapist Video Filming and Editing

- Schedule and coordinate filming sessions with therapists and staff across Insight's Edmonton and Sherwood Park locations, including preparing participants with prompts, talking points, and session logistics.
- Set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment for in-office and on-location filming.
- Edit footage into finished therapist profile videos, service explainers, and campaign assets, including captions, titles, supporting footage, and basic colour and audio correction.
- Maintain photography and video equipment in good working order, and report repair or replacement needs.

Full-Team Photoshoots

- Coordinate full-team and location-based photoshoots, including scheduling across sites, booking locations, preparing shot lists and call sheets, and providing staff with wardrobe and presentation guidance.




- Photograph sessions in house, or brief and support an external photographer where one is engaged.
- Select, edit, retouch, and export images to the specifications required for the website, social media, print materials, and external directory listings.
- Ensure all clinicians and staff have a current and visually consistent headshot in use across Insight's website, staff profiles, and third-party directories, and update these as the team changes.

Podcast Production Support

- Coordinate the podcast schedule, including guest booking, preparation materials, recording dates, and release timing.
- Support recording sessions, including equipment setup, audio and video capture, and monitoring.
- Edit audio and video episodes, and prepare show notes, titles, descriptions, and timestamps for review.
- Produce promotional clips and audiograms for distribution across social media channels.
- Publish episodes to the hosting platform, distribute across channels, and report on episode performance.

In-Person Event Coordination and Engagement

- Represent Insight's brands at conferences, trade shows, community events, and speaking engagements across the Greater Edmonton Area, including booth setup and teardown and engagement with attendees and referral sources.
- Coordinate event logistics, materials, giveaways, signage, transport of display items, and on-site schedules.
- Capture photo, video, and social media content on site for live and post-event use.
- Collect and organize leads and inquiries gathered at events, and coordinate follow-up with the marketing and intake teams.
- Support internal event planning and coordination, including staff gatherings, training days, recognition and milestone events, and related internal communications.
- Prepare post-event summaries covering attendance and recommendations for future participation.

General

- Maintain the shared content and event calendar across Insight's brands, and flag scheduling conflicts and competing deadlines to the Director of Marketing.




- Apply Insight's brand, accessibility, and privacy standards to all published material, including confidentiality obligations in clinical environments where clients may be present.
- Contribute ideas to campaign planning and creative development, and research tools, platforms, and trends relevant to Insight's marketing activities.
- Communicate project timelines, delays, and concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

● Currently enrolled in a diploma or undergraduate degree program in business or a related field.

● One or more years of relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- A keen eye for photography and videography
- Highly organized and thorough, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- A critical thinker that is action and results oriented
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Efficient, flexible, and can effectively manage a demanding schedule with multiple priorities

- Highly self-motivated and can work independently with minimal supervision
- Technologically savvy, with intermediate to advanced Google Suite and Canva capability
- Ability to conduct research and analyses.

Conditions of Work

- This is a hybrid part time position with 25 to 30 paid hours a week.
- The position is primarily remote, but the individual must be willing to travel to any of our Edmonton/Sherwood Park locations to capture promotional photos/videos and attend promotional events across the Greater Edmonton Area as a representative of Insight.

- Flexibility of the working day is inherent in the position. The workload fluctuates depending on initiative and event timelines.
- The individual must be in a post-secondary program to be eligible for this position.
