Role Description The Real Estate Legal Assistants (Junior & Senior) will support lawyers with all aspects of real estate transactions in a full-time, on-site role located in Edmonton, AB. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, purchase agreements, and closing packages, as well as managing client files and maintaining accurate records. The assistants will coordinate with clients, realtors, mortgage brokers, and financial institutions, schedule appointments, and ensure that all required documentation is completed and submitted on time.





Responsibilities also include handling incoming calls and emails, responding to client inquiries, and providing courteous, professional customer service. The senior assistant may mentor junior team members, oversee more complex files, and assist with improving office processes and workflows.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of real estate processes and terminology, and experience supporting real estate transactions or conveyancing.
- Proven administrative assistance and organization skills, including file management, scheduling, and document preparation.
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints, with strong attention to detail and effective multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office, document management systems) and comfort learning new legal tools.
- Previous experience in a law office or legal workplace is an asset; senior candidates should have advanced real estate experience.
- Diploma, certificate, or coursework in legal studies, office administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to professional and ethical standards.
