Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hard-working Kitchen Staff member / Cook to join our dynamic team in the Cambridge/Waterloo region. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes, with a focus on authentic Kerala recipes. Important Note: Candidates must already reside in or be willing to relocate to Cambridge or Waterloo, Ontario, to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Food Preparation: Wash, chop, and prep fresh ingredients. Accurately measure and portion ingredients according to established recipes.
- Cooking & Execution: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality culinary items quickly, safely, and efficiently while following standard kitchen procedures.
- Station Management: Clean, organize, and maintain assigned cooking stations. Ensure stations are fully stocked with necessary supplies before, during, and after shifts.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Strictly adhere to regional health and safety guidelines. Perform regular dishwashing, sanitize work surfaces, and manage food storage utilizing the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
- Team Collaboration:



Communicate clearly and cooperate smoothly with front-of-house staff to ensure guest orders are fulfilled accurately and punctually.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Previous experience as a cook, prep cook, or kitchen staff member is considered an asset, but we are fully willing to train the right motivated candidate.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift heavy kitchen inventory or equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Pace & Efficiency: Strong time-management skills with the ability to maintain composure and efficiency during high-volume, rapid-paced service rushes.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and verbal communication skills.
- Scheduling: Flexibility to work a wide-ranging schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
