We are looking to hire a Journeyman Mechanic to join our growing team.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting pressure trucks and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence and reliability.

The right individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize a clean and organized workspace & take pride in maintaining a handsome fleet of trucks.

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on pressure trucks and associated machinery
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to execute repairs accurately
- Conduct heavy lifting and assembly tasks as needed to facilitate maintenance procedures
- Follow detailed maintenance schedules and troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and parts used for each vehicle
- Assist with vehicle upgrades and modifications to improve performance and safety
- Communicating effectively with team members and regarding repair status
- Responding to infield calls as necessary





Assets Required:

- Certified Journeyman mechanic
- Experience within the oil and gas industry or with pressure trucks specifically would be an asset
- Knowledge of pressure pumps would be an asset
- Clean drivers abstract with a class 1/3 or class 5
- Safety tickets up to date (h2S, First Aid, CSO)
- Can pass a D&A; test before and during employment
- Reliable, positive attitude - Team players will be chosen every time to be a part of Black 5
- Excellent communication skills - Communication is key to a safe and efficient workplace
- Clean and organized is a must
- Physically able to push, pull, drag or lift items up to 100lbs in various work conditions and occasionally work at shoulder level with equipment weighing up to 25lbs
- Competent using various computer software such as Microsoft Excel and Work

Pay: $35.00-$46.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
