B Pressure Welder – Pressure Vessel Experience Required

Panax Oil & Gas Inc. is currently looking for an experienced B Pressure Welder to join our Edmonton fabrication team.

Applicants MUST have previous pressure vessel welding experience.

Panax specializes in the fabrication of ASME pressure vessels, separator packages, process piping, meter skids and custom oil & gas equipment.

Qualifications

- Valid Alberta B Pressure Welder Certificate
- Previous pressure vessel welding experience is required
- Experience welding ASME pressure vessels
- Experience working to approved welding procedures
- Experience with vessel shells, heads, nozzles, manways and pressure-retaining welds
- Carbon steel fabrication experience
- GTAW, SMAW, FCAW and/or SAW experience considered an asset
- Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld maps
- Strong understanding of weld preparation and fit-up
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds that meet inspection and NDE requirements
- Strong attention to quality and safety
- Reliable with good attendance and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities




- Perform pressure welding on ASME pressure vessels and associated piping
- Complete vessel seams, nozzles, manways and other pressure-retaining welds
- Follow approved welding procedures and Panax QC requirements
- Work closely with fitters, QC personnel and shop supervision
- Maintain a safe and clean work area

Work Schedule Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
