VoltSEQ Electrical Inc. is a growing electrical contractor based in Cranbrook, BC. We provide commercial, industrial and residential electrical services throughout the East Kootenays.

We are looking for an experienced Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. This position is suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, communicates well, can troubleshoot effectively and is comfortable taking responsibility for jobs in the field.

Our work is varied and includes service work, commercial construction and renovations, industrial projects, residential electrical, generators, electrical distribution and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities The successful candidate may be responsible for:
- Commercial electrical construction and renovations
- Electrical service and maintenance




- Residential electrical installations and troubleshooting
- Industrial electrical work
- Service upgrades and electrical distribution
- Standby generator and transfer switch installations
- Data, controls and specialty electrical installations
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Reading drawings, specifications and electrical code requirements
- Planning and completing assigned jobs
- Coordinating materials and communicating job requirements
- Working directly with customers and other trades
- Supervising and mentoring apprentices when required
- Maintaining clean, safe and skilled work areas
- Completing work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable BC requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must

- Hold a Red Seal Construction Electrician certification or recognized BC equivalent
- Hold a valid driver's licence
- Be able to provide an acceptable driver's abstract
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be able to work safely and independently
- Be comfortable taking responsibility for assigned jobs
- Have strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Be able to communicate professionally with customers,



coworkers and project partners
- Take pride in clean, professional and code-compliant workmanship
- Be dependable and accountable

Commercial electrical experience is an asset. Experience in residential service, maintenance, industrial electrical, generators or troubleshooting is also valuable.
