Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and residential buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts
- Install, replace, or repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and diagnose issues using testing devices
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices
Requirements:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license/certification required
- Proven experience as a Residential Journeyperson Electrician
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Robust knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and materials
- Familiarity Canadian electrical codes and regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues
