Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team on-site at our corporate office. In this role, you will work directly under the supervision of the Controller, providing critical support across all day-to-day accounting functions. Your primary focus will be managing accounts payable, handling CRM-to-QuickBooks revenue integrations, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting with monthly project-based adjustments, credit card reconciliation among other regular accounting transactions.
The ideal candidate possesses strong data-accuracy skills, a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Accounts Payable: Review, code, and post subcontractor and vendor invoices. Ensure all expenses are accurately allocated to specific jobs/projects.
· Revenue Integration: Manage and audit the import of job invoices, payments received from our CRM software into QuickBooks, ensuring data consistency.
· Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and vehicle loans to identify and resolve variances.
· Month-End Support: Assist the Controller with monthly financial adjustments, including tracking journal entries, inventory and waste management, credit card transactions review, prepaid expenses,
accruals and sub-ledger reviews.
· Reconciliations: Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
· Audit Support: Assist with review engagement, preparing support schedules and documentation.
· On-Site Collaboration: Maintain clean, organized digital and physical financial records. Collaborate closely with project managers on-site to verify revenue and expense accuracy.
· Statutory Compliances: Prepare and submit monthly GST/HST and other government reporting in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills
· Location: 100% On-Site
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset but not a requirement.
· Experience: 2–4 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for candidates with construction industry experience.
· Software Mastery: Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and experience navigating CRM or project management tools is highly preferred.
· Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data cleaning).
· Core Competencies: Strong understanding of job-cost accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent communication skills for dealing with vendors and project managers.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
